Ashleigh M. Brown

Managing Partner @ Snatch

For over a decade, Ashleigh Brown harbored twin passions—building families as a healthcare executive in the fertility sector and building brands through storytelling.

This dual career, while rewarding, turned a garish spotlight on the dominant challenge of her life: battling the natural tension of a binary captivation with both science and art.

Which explains why, during her clinical career in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) + reproductive endocrinology & infertility (REI), she never stopped answering the call of the blank page or agency whiteboard, stealthily honing her strategic development talents as a contract creative across film, digital media, and advertising; working with titans like Hallmark, ESPN, Shea Moisture, and Nike.

Craving a universal professional identity, Ashleigh was inspired in 2020 to found CLAIRE Fertility, a FemTech startup fusing reproductive science + digital health solutions to revolutionize the pre-prenatal journey.

This crash-course inaugural experience as a solo founder provided Ashleigh with invaluable insights into the startup ecosystem, and under her leadership, CLAIRE received venture investment; secured strategic partnerships with industry leaders health CPG companies like ŌURA; received investment from MIT as an MIT Sandbox startup; and participated in prestigious accelerators including Project Healthcare, of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, and gener8tor's Prosper HealthTech Accelerator in Birmingham.

She also negotiated growth collaborations with cutting-edge institutions like HudsonAlpha Biotechnology Institute while exploring the co-development of reproductive genetics technology.

As Co-Managing Partner at Snatch, Ashleigh leverages her extraordinary blend of clinical expertise, startup experience, and creative savoir faire to support + guide early-stage companies.

Her background as a digital health founder equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of startup operations, from product development, pilot development and clinical innovation to R&D and go-to-market strategy. Complementing this is her creative brand strategy expertise, expressed via her creative consultancy, WildType Brand Haus.

Her agency roots in culture strategy + innovation enable her to offer holistic support to founders, helping them craft compelling brand narratives, develop resonant messaging, and establish robust market positions. At Snatch, she continues her mission of fueling progress by empowering other visionary founders in the digital health + FemTech spaces.

An alumna of The George Washington University (and eternally the quintessential English Literature & Creative Writing major), her insatiable curiosity + strategic mind have led her to executive education in interests like genetics & genomics, design, and dramatic writing.

Whether working with embryos, color theory, or story structure, her motivation remains underlined by her supreme desire: to foster human transformation through stories + science.

“I love working with visionaries + evangelists. Not only are they the most infectious founders, but the visionary who feels invincible in their mission and their brand identity, deeply connected to their audience, and fiercely proud of their story is the one who is going to win. I like the challenge of getting them there. ”

  • this political environment we have around reproductive justice and reproductive freedom is going to continue to birth renegade FemTech and digital health solutions, and I'm here for that.

  • professional? wearables, precision medicine, genomic science, anything creative and/or brand theory or strategy related

personal? literature (reading + writing), fitness training, farmers markets + seasonal cooking, anything design-related. To that point, I also have a weird obsession with doors (which you'll notice I weirdly use a lot in the imagery in my creative work #guilty)

  • i was surprised at how passionate about and adept I've proven to be at product marketing and product development; I'm also great at pilot development and anything strategy-related. I'm basically a well of strategy and ideas and that's my best offering to other founders

  • i could say reproductive liberty because that's always top of mind, but I am also a precision medicine fanatic, and I hate that there is so much amazing technology in existence now that could save so many lives, but those who would most benefit have no financial and physical capability to access this it.

  • i get so excited when I think about the year 2035, when the intermarriage of genomic science + wearables will be a standard entry point in our healthcare. knowing someone's genome and genetic makeup and being able to track their epigenetic evolution--and not just providers, but patients themselves-- is going to change, save, and extend so many lives. I am thrilled by the possibilities.
